As soon as Team Fat started releasing their Humongous soundtracks, THIS was the soundtrack I was hoping could eventually be a reality. In fact, I just stumbled on this today, by complete accident. And I am so so thankful I did. I have been listening to this music on CD players, MP3 players, and Phones since 2005. But now, it won't be low bitrate anymore.

Each of their series was picking up steam in a major hurry, and this was an ambitious sequel to an unexpected success in previously uncharted territory. Tom rose to the challenge wonderfully.

It's a pleasure to finally present this music in the kind of release it deserves.

Composed and produced by Tom McGurk, this soundtrack features an incredible (and hilarious) vocal theme song in the tradition of John Barry and Shirley Bassey. The score digs deep into the orchestral, jazzy, swinging beats of 1960s globe-hopping adventurers like James Bond, Maxwell Smart and Jonny Quest, yet still finds ways for the cartoon zaniness of SPY Fox's unique world to shine through all on its own.

These are the same cues heard in the Humongous Entertainment YouTube upload, just ripped straight from the master disc Tom originally sent to HE back in '99 and with their original track names intact. The stingers at the end of the album are also included for the first time. These stingers and the stunning cover by Kai Texel are what make it the Collector's Edition.

A sweet, heartfelt, and chipper soundtrack with a great acoustic flair. Pep's Birthday Surprise may not be the most beloved HE title, but Team Fat did a fantastic job with the music. It's fun, upbeat, and charming, just like a certain car we know and love. Even if you're not a fan of the game, I'd recommend giving this soundtrack a listen! griscuit
